little bit of work

Reasons to read Wodehouse # 254

"Has it occurred to you, young man, that I am taking a chance putting a fellow like you to work in my office?
Have no fear. The little bit of work I shall do won't make any difference."
Piccadilly Jim, P.G. Wodehouse

Thank you, Kathleen for this book loan. I am enjoying it very much. You will too.

  1. Oh yeay! I am so glad!!! That quote is fantastic. It sounds like one of the many witty retorts I get from my kids.. Like:

"I promise if I am ever actually building a bridge, I'll look up how to bisect an angle." - Gabe, after being chastised for not caring much about angles and their importance with respect to bridge building.... sigh...

Here's to 2 years this week of home-education - or un-education depending on the day... Heather - thank you for praying for me, for praying The Spirit would convict me to take this path.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Oh, I do love Robert Frost

  2. Oh Gabe, he's too much. Just think how much he'll learn from Wodehouse if you keep reading it with him! hahaha. Happy 2 year anniversary of hanging out at home with your kids! :) Thanks again for the poetry book, looking forward to foraging through it for hidden gems. xo
