the rest of December

December, you were a busy month of prepping, planning, going, and getting, but you also gave us time with family, fun, crafting and the birthday girl. I know this is the time of year when many of us plan for a fresh beginning, better intentions, new ideas and goals to pursue. I generally enjoy a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm for the tasks at hand without making specific resolutions.
So with a new year just around the corner, thank you for being here in this space with me. See you in 2016!

'tis the season

'Tis the season for crafty projects of all kind, ugly Christmas sweaters for work parties, enjoying handmade ornaments from years gone by and trying out new ones. And so much more.
I have been crafting, planning and waking way too early for weeks now, only a couple of days left and then I am going to let myself just enjoy the festivities.
These photos are all from early to mid December, before we celebrated Kate's birthday. Seth and I spent several afternoons working on his gift for Laura. I can't tell you how many times I have had to hide materials and crafts quickly because of footsteps coming my way. It is all a bit stressful at times, but slowly I am finishing things up, almost right under their noses.
The time of waiting is almost over. I can't wait.
