On Thursday morning, we headed southeast of our hotel area to an outdoor shopping area called Peddler's Village. Since I had not been there in years, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of interest for all of us, but it turns out, we enjoyed ourselves with mostly just window shopping.
Kate was more interested in Seth showing her pictures of Flossy on his phone while we waited for Laura to snuggle every stuffed animal in a store called The Total Animal.
It was fairly quiet since it was just after opening, so we had plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the sights before other visitors arrived. Before we left, we visited the indoor carousel and gave Kate a chance to ride a horse before making one last stop at a fun toy store called JaZams which had so many of our family favorite toy items.

I had a feeling that adding New Hope to our tourist attractions after our visit to Washington Crossing was going to be too much for my traveling family and I was right. We enjoyed walking around the historic buildings and museum but when we came back through New Hope they waved off any interest in stopping. We did stop outside of town at another historic site to see the sheep and Laura took some pictures of the ones who had wooly bangs covering their face. She called to some of the more distant sheep and the dark brown one came trotting right over much to her delight. A few minutes of patting him and some loud baaing from another sheep by the barn and all the sheep went trotting into the barn. Laura is our resident animal lover and she's all ready to start sheep and goat farming.
Thanks for sharing the highlights of your trip. Just wondering what camera you used. Your M50?
ReplyDeleteYes, for some of the photos, but it was mostly my Android phone, sometimes using the "portrait" mode. Because I am usually holding Kate's hand, my pictures are usually taken very quickly while she 'protests' the interruption.
DeleteUsing you phone makes sense if you are mostly shooting with one hand. Good work!
