I'm slowly working my way through this book in order to help our son in some needed areas. As I am currently feeling under the weather and a bit overwhelmed by all my responsibilities as a wife and mom, these encouraging words caught my attention.
A man of faith sees beyond daily events to the good God who controls all. Frequently God disguises Himself as trouble, problems, and difficulty. The wise look past those costumes and see provision, growth and a good education.
All problems are reruns. Whatever hardship you face has been faced by someone before you. The faithless focus on the trouble and complain. The faithful thank God and overcome.

Out of all the stories coming from Haiti, this particular one, Peace of Mind Hotel resonated with me as I considered this couple's outlook on life's problems.
Oh to be like that when troubles come. God is good.
